Although it is not mandatory, Camp BUCKO encourages applicants to be vaccinated for the COVID-19 Virus. Camp BUCKO reserves the right to adjust the minimum requirements to participate in our program based on the guidelines and regulations set forth by Public Health and The OCA (Ontario Camps Association).

Police Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Screening

Applicants will not be accepted if they have any convictions or charges pending for any criminal offences on a Police Record Check or entries on a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- All Police Check applications must be applied for in the 2024 calendar year
If you require a generic letter requesting the PRC/VSS from Camp BUCKO, please download one from our website campbucko.ca.
If your Police Service requires an original letter requesting the PRC/VSS with your name on it, please email admin@campbucko.ca or call 647-343-2267 / 1-877-272-8256 to request one.
If you do not receive your PRC/VSS by the application deadline, a receipt (indicating that you have applied for the PRC/VSS) will be accepted for the application. The actual PRC/VSS must be submitted by May 1, 2024.

Counsellor Role Preference

The majority of help we need is in the cabins. If you were to be selected for a cabin assignment, is there an age group of campers you would prefer to work with? Please number the top preferences 1 to 4 (1 being your first choice). We will try to accommodate your preference.

Ambassador & Camp Exchange Program

Are you interested in representing Camp BUCKO at events other than the week of camp? This could involve a BUCKO presentation, attending a cheque presentation and/or managing an information booth at a fundraising event?

Are you interested in being a chaperone for a camp exchange? This would involve attending another camp (likely in the USA) and chaperoning one or two campers for the week.
